Gendering is changing the use of the German language. In written and spoken texts, gender changes and markers are being used more and more frequently and in a wide variety of ways.
In our view, however, extensive gendering impairs the reading flow and comprehensibility of many texts. Above all, gendered texts are not digitally accessible and we will continue to work on maximising the accessibility of our websites in the future.
For these reasons, we currently refrain from using gender-specific differentiation and use the generic masculine - but also the gerundive or more inclusive formulations, as long as they are easy to read. All personal designations apply equally to all genders. In the Upstalsboom Group, we are aware of the diversity of people. In the course of the current debate on gender issues, it is important to us that we treat each other with respect and consideration in our daily interactions, regardless of the spoken or written word.
